Joint Chiefs chairman to visit Fort Campbell

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. — The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is making his first visit to Fort Campbell this week.

Adm. Mike Mullen will be at the Army post on the Kentucky-Tennessee border on Thursday and Friday to meet with soldiers and attend a groundbreaking.

Mullen will hold a town hall meeting with soldiers on Thursday and headline the groundbreaking for the Soldier and Family Assistance Center on Friday.

Mullen was sworn in as the 17th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in October 2007.
